HOW TO REVISE VIDEOS
Year 11 Maths Revision
Q: This looks like hard work. Is there an easier way?
A: No – you’ll get out what you put in. Good revision good outcomes; poor revision poor outcomes
Q: Do I really need to revise 6 days per week?
A: Yes – educational researchers have proved it’s the most effective way to revise. i.e. you do the same amount of work for more benefit than if you revised for longer sessions less often.
Q: I have a tutor – do I need to revise?
A: Yes – neither your tutor nor your teacher can do the learning for you. Only you can!
Q: Where can I buy revision guides and maths equipment?
A: At BBA - we sell revision guides for £4, calculators for £8.50 and maths sets for £1.50. We expect students to have these in lessons to help their learning. If this is unaffordable, please contact the school.
Q: Will there be after school/holiday sessions in the run up to exams?
A: TBC – ideally this will happen, but we are currently unable to confirm specific details at this time. These sessions do not take the place of revision – you still need to be revising for at least 20 minutes at least 6 days per week.
