Re: Notice of temporary increase to Published Admission Number (PAN) from 216 to 232 students from 2017

Bristol Brunel Academy will be temporarily increasing the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 216 to 232 students from September 2017. This change will take place for Year 7 starting in September 2017 only. This is a temporary change, if it is decided that that the Academy should wish to continue with this as a permanent change, consultation will take place with all stakeholders.

The decision has been carefully considered:

- This increase is based on significant demand for places in the local area and the duty of the Academy to support in meeting this demand.

- The demand for places at Bristol Brunel Academy. We are now full in Years 7 to 9 with waiting lists in each year group.

This increase in student numbers will require investment in the building, particularly around the canteen space.

The Academy will keep all stakeholders informed of the plans and changes as and when they can be confirmed.
